From its beginning, Trinity Bible Church has been
committed to Missions. Through our prayers and financial
support, we strive to follow the mandate to send missionaries on their
way in a manner "worthy of God"
(III John 6)
STAMP MINISTRY
Did you know that the cancelled stamps you receive on your mail can be used to generate funds for ministry? Alliance Stamp Ministry in Fort Myers, Fl has been using these "used" stamps to support various projects since 1971 and at present they are being used to subsidize the ministry of Publicaciones Alianza, a publishing house located in Buenos Aires, Argentina which is dedicated to writing and publishing Sunday School materials in Spanish.
This material is written for teachers who, having no experience as children with Sunday School, have no clear model of what Sunday School should be. It is also written for people who are new converts to Christ and have only a superficial knowledge of the Bible, but who, nonetheless, are serving as teachers in the church. The manuals provide step-by-step instructions and ample supplemental helps for presenting Biblical truths in ways that make them applicable to daily living.
The stamps collected are sorted by category and sold to stamp distributors, who then sell them to collectors. Last year a total of $21,500 was received from the sale of these used stamps and was sent to the Sunday School project. You can help supply Sunday School materials written in Spanish to 13 Latin American countries, plus Spain, and the United States which are used by over 40 Protestant denominations. There are directions to follow in cutting the stamps off your envelopes:
1. Carefully trim the stamps leaving a border, when possible, of 1/4" to 1/3". Please do not remove the stamps from the paper.
2. Bring them to church and place them in the box on the back table by the front door.
3. Any common stamp, presorted, pre-cancelled and bulk rate stamps are usable along with Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza and Purple Heart stamps. Priority and Express Stamps, large and small foreign and commemorative stamps are desired as well.
Get in the habit of cutting stamps from your mail and you can be a part of a great mission work that takes God's Word and His message around the world by the printed page.
LOCAL VBS
Dave & Nicki Evans know that having a Vacation Bible School is still a great way to acquaint KIDS with Jesus and teach them how they can get to Heaven.
Right here in Surprise and all around the Phoenix area they will be conducting VBS this summer using their special talents to present the gospel in clever and interesting ways.
They are very thankful for our financial support that enables them to minister year round in churches, schools, and neighborhoods and to conduct training sessions to teach young people how to lead a child to Christ using the Wordless Book (Colors of the Gospel). One such training session took place in February with Global Training Network who asked Dave to help train a team of 8-10 folks going to Indonesia to conduct Vacation Bible School. This VBS will take place during an English Camp with 800 kids attending. Dave had to drive a round trip of 110 miles every other Tuesday during the months of March, April, and May to conduct these training classes. They would appreciate your prayers as these folks put into practice what they have learned.
Now is the time to schedule a Gospel Party or a VBS in your neighborhood. A Gospel Party can be held for 1-2 hours on any day for any occasion. Dave & Nicki hope to conduct 8 weeks of VBS this summer, leaving the week of the July 4 open. They still have some openings for this summer if you would like to host a party or a VBS.
Gospel 4 Kids is celebrating 10 years of ministry. Dave started full time ministry 14 years ago with Child Evangelism Fellowship until the Lord allowed him to start his own ministry. Since beginning this ministry, over 18,000 kids have been reached at least one time with the Gospel. In adding up the attendance for all the events hosted in these 10 years, over 45,000 children have attended. Teens and adults have been reached as well through this ministry. They say THANK YOU for partnering with them to DELIVER GOD'S GOOD NEWS TO CHILDREN!
350 KIDS ATTEND VBS IN SRI LANKA
Remember attending Vacation Bible School when you were a kid? It was an exciting time of stories, action songs, crafts, and treats with a closing program for our parents.
It was thrilling this week to see pictures of the same kind of VBS being held in Sri Lanka with 350 kids attending. Some of the kids from very poor villages had to walk 5-7 km to get there without having eaten. The kids were happy to receive a bun and a carton of milk as they entered the classroom each day to hear stories of "God's Warriors", Gideon, David, and Joshua. Songs were sung with gusto, especially one in which they joined hands and cried out for their nation asking God to send revival. The theme verse was 2 Chronicles 20:15 "Be not afraid...the battle belongs to God".
Drama was used to act out a missionary story every day, crafts were made, crazy games were played and army training was given for fitness. Cooking classes were part of the craft time giving them a chance to taste things like fruit kebabs, veggie & egg sandwiches, donuts, & cutlets. The leaders loved watching the kids enjoy playing games.
After a message about Christ and the Cross with clips from the "Passion of Christ" many prayed to receive Christ and others testified as to how their lives had been changed by receiving Christ. Prayer was made for each child on the last day as they passed under a banner held by leaders that was made of colors depicting the journey to Christ from the grey of sin to the red of Christ's blood and on to the gold of Heaven. Each child received a Bible that had been donated by International Needs Czech Republic.
The Kingdom Kidz Ministries team made up of 120 local volunteers wants to say a BIG THANK YOU to all who made this program an unforgettable event. By your prayers and gifts these kids were able to encounter God. How wonderful to see Vacation Bible Schools conducted and the gospel finding new homes all over the world! More pictures can be found in Cynthia Devadason's box on the back wall. This work is supported by only one other outside group besides Trinity Bible Church. What a blessing to see results such as these.

FOR OUR MISSIONARIES
News from Cynthia Davidson in Sri Lanka
Cynthia is grateful to the Lord that she, the staff, and children all are well, and that they have so much to be thankful for during this past year. The Lord has graciously guided and provided. She wants us to share with her in THANKING God for the following:
Protection for their three centers from persecution in any form from the extremists.
Freedom to proclaim the Gospel in those centers without fear. For 1300 children hearing the Gospel each day, and given an opportunity to accept the Lord Jesus as their Savior.
For their 42 teachers who carefully prepare their teaching materials for the children and faithfully proclaim the Gospel in the three centers.
For protection for Cynthia and others as they travel frequently to the mountains to visit their center there.
For the children, 90% of them being from other religious faiths, willing and able to come to the centers and hear the Gospel presentation, with opportunity to respond.
For the parents of these children who have given written consent that they have no objection to their children being taught the principles laid out in the Bible.
For the Board of Directors who are actively involved in the work and continually uphold Cynthia and the staff in prayer.
For their Management Team of young people who manage the five projects under IN Network Lanka.
For the Christmas season in Sri Lanka where 80% of the people are Buddhists.
The Light of the World shines in many corners of the Island of Sri Lanka, like bright stars in a night sky.
Cynthia also asks us to PRAY:
For protection for the many Christian churches sprouting up all over Sri Lanka, who are facing much persecution.
For boldness and courage for those who are new believers in these churches to tell their non-Christian families about the Gospel that has changed them.
For the 1300 children in their three centers, and for physical and spiritual strength for their teachers. Because many live quite a distance from the center, they have little time for lesson preparation.
That the Lord will preserve the freedom the children have to come to the centers to hear the Gospel.
For the funds for and maintenance of all the buildings which are now over 15 years old.
She is grateful for our prayers, which continue to sustain them.
Trinity Bible helps in Cynthia Davidson's support in the amount of $200. per month.
James & Kay Baker are working with the Navajo Ministries in New Mexico. In a recent letter, Jim shared the following thoughts with us:
"As winter draws to a close across the nation, I am reminded of an Amish Proverb, 'No winter lasts forever. No spring skips its turn.' While we haven't seen a very harsh winter in most parts of the country, we wonder how wild the storms of spring might be as the seasons clash with one another. Perhaps you have experienced a long winter--emotionally, physically or spiritually. Remember that spring is coming. It is our joy to have friends like you who join with us in meeting the daily needs of this ministry. We realize that God is our source, but we know that friends like you are His resources. In recent weeks we have seen a couple of new children come into our homes. God provided our new house parents, the Gaynors, at just the right time to help provide care and love to the youngsters in this home."
Jim has been asked to serve as chairman for New Mexico's Centennial events in relationship to the churches and Christian events in their county. This has required interacting and organizing with area pastors and churches.
One of the events planned in Farmington is called River Run for Orphans (a River of People Creating Resources for Orphans). The children living at the Four Corners Home for Children are getting excited about participating in this walk/run.
Several months ago a lady from the community shared with the children about a ministry she started over 10 years ago, designed to help orphans in Africa who lost their parents to AIDS. The kids were very interested in hearing about children in a far away land who were not able to live with their parents. So when the River Run for Orphans project was presented to them, they spoke with the children about participating and raising funds to help build a small house in Africa for just $400. This home would have several orphans living there with a lady who serves as the mom. The house will also be used as a home church where God's Word is taught each week.
While the children living in the Four Corners Home are not orphans, they can relate to these children who do not live at home with parents. So about a dozen of the children will run and walk to help these orphans on Saturday morning, April 28th, in Farmington at Berg Park, which has a beautiful trail winding along the Animas River. Will you pray for these children as their hearts are opened to needs in other parts of the world and they give of themselves in this way to help meet those needs? Pray that this experience will have a life long impact on them.
Trinity Bible Church helps in the support of the Bakers in the amount of $300. per month.
Mark Hanlon of COMPASSION INTERNATIONAL shared the following thoughts with us:
"One of my favorite things about spending time with children is seeing the way they can peel back the ordinary and reveal the extraordinary. At what other stage in life are dandelions as fascinating as they are to a 4-year old? When else can soap bubbles be so captivating?
How refreshing it is to step out of my adult shoes and step into the world of a child. As a father, I experienced that joy daily when my son was young. But experiencing joy with children living in desperate poverty is a different kind of blessing. The children we serve through Compassion often enter our program after experiencing years of adult responsibilities. They have had very few opportunities to find delight in the ordinary.
But slowly, they get to be children again. Compassion offers them the safety and freedom to find the extraordinary in their lives. Their sponsors share love and encouragement through letters, and those children blossom. They pretend and draw and find joy in dandelions and soap bubbles. And each time I witness that transformation, I find that I, too, am refreshed and uplifted.
This month, would you join me in praying for the fragile joy of children living in poverty? Pray for them as they seek out moments of delight and laughter. And pray that they will find refreshing moments of delight and play in a world where poverty tries to crush their spirits. Pray also for the local staff members who offer these children a safe place to grow and hope.
As always, thank you for your commitment to pray for children in poverty. My hope is that you will find joy and refreshment as you lift each child in your prayers."
In 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, the Apostle Paul wrote, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

A SPECIAL NOTE TO OUR TRINITY BIBLE CONGREGATION
FROM YOUR MISSIONS COMMITTEE
We are very grateful to each one of you who signed up for, attended, and financially supported all of our Mission Conference events. We trusted the Lord to supply through you the finances that we needed for the Banquet, love offerings for our missionary speakers, and funds to meet travel expenses. We thank you that we were not disappointed and we were able to meet all of those needs through your faithfulness in giving.
It was encouraging to hear more about what is going on in the lives and work of each speaker, and we trust you were as blessed and challenged as we were, and that you will keep these dear folks and their ministries in your prayers. As we hear from our missionaries from time to time, there are updates placed in their folders which are just under the large World Map in the narthex. Feel free to help yourself and to pray for the needs that they share with us.
Praise the Lord for the funds that came in to repair Vince Trujillo's vehicle which broke down Sunday afternoon as they were returning home after the conference. I'm sure it was a tremendous blessing to them to see the Lord supply through the generosity of Trinity Bible members.
Jay Cory's message to us at the luncheon was both enlightening and challenging as he shared the needs of the homeless that the Phoenix Rescue Mission is endeavoring to meet with help from God's people. It is important to meet physical needs but it shouldn't stop at that, and the stated purpose of Phoenix Rescue Mission shows that their goal is: "to rescue lives, to save lives, to change lives and to serve lives" while serving as a beacon of hope and a safe haven for the homeless and working poor. We are grateful that we at Trinity Bible can have a small part in helping them reach that goal with our gifts and prayers.
So we say thanks again to all of you for your prayers and gifts to support our missionaries and their work.

PRAYER? ANYONE?
In this month's issue of Commentary Magazine David Aikman states that in 131 of the 193 countries in the world, Christians, who make up seventy per cent of the world's population, are being persecuted by either hostile governments or hostile social forces. Furthermore, The World Evangelical Alliance believes that 200 million Christians are being singled out for persecution at any one time. Aikman continues to say that one delegate at a recent conference of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe estimated that 105,000 Christians a year lose their lives because of their faith. That means that one Christian loses his or her life approximately every five minutes.
Even though we do not live in one of the 131 nations where persecution and execution are the order of the day, it seems that we ought to pray unceasingly for our brothers and sisters who must come to terms with such depraved hostility. I imagine that, should the conditions be reversed, we would be deeply thankful for those who remember us in prayer.
"Remember the prisoners, as though in prison with them, and those who are ill-treated, since you yourselves also are in the body." Hebrews 13:3.
By the way, I estimate that at least six of our brothers and sisters in the faith have been martyred since my fingers first touched the keyboard to write this urgent reminder.

PRAYER REQUESTS & PRAISES
JOSH AND XI0 GARD--VILLAGE MISSIONS -- ask us to continue to pray for those looking for work in their church. They report that God is working in the lives of the people in the church and that they can see it in small ways. Please pray that Josh and Xio would be open to God's direction concerning where they need to put their time in ministry.
RANDY AND WILMA CHARLES--FUMI -- report that they are seeing increased activity in the Maricopa County Jails, with more God Squad volunteers doing Bible studies and one-on-one counseling. The ladies doing Bible studies at the Perryville women's prison are seeing ever increasing attendance. Praise the Lord!
GENE AND JEN ARNOLD--MAF -- ask us to pray for the set-up of the new maintenance school at Moody aviation where they minister. They ask us to continue praying for their adopted girls to receive their visas soon so they can go and bring them home.
MARK HANLON--COMPASSION INTERNATIONAL -- asks us to pray that the children they help will have their innocence made new and their childhood returned. Many have been abused and exploited and nearly all have had to shoulder adult burdens. Pray, too, for their protection. Pray also for the Compassion field staff as they daily put their lives on the line so more that 1.3 million children can know safety and innocence.
VINCE & GAIL TRUJILLO--MEXICAN MEDICAL MINISTRIES -- ask us to pray for the supplies and resources to completely finish the setting up of their housing in Tecate, Mexico. They ask us to pray for Chad and Bri and the safe arrival of their baby this January. They also ask continued prayer for Aaron as he continues to make progress in his recovery. We received a thank you note from Vince and Gail for the $100 Christmas gift received in December.
ED AND SHERYL GUDEMAN--WORLD VENTURE -- ask for prayer for Mark as he will not be returning to Spain with them in June. He will need a place to live and a job for the summer as he will return to Colorado State University next fall. They also sent a note thanking Trinity for the $100 they received at Christmas. They appreciate our concern and care for them.
The mission committee occasionally asks the congregation to give
extra love offerings and gifts for our missionaries and various mission
projects. We are so grateful for your loving response. The
committee has been lax in sharing the thank you notes we have
received from the missionaries. Following are a few of the thank
you notes..
Michelle Beckman writes: "Thank you for loving me so well
through this past year's battle with cancer. I soaked in your love,
prayers and support. You truly displayed Jesus to me. Thank you
for the special gift of $100 this Christmas. I will use it to help pay
for some of my natural supplements.
Joyce Wilhelmson writes: "Thank you so much for your support
gift in November and the Christmas gift of $100. What a delightful
surprise!" Later in the letter she comments that if she buys something
from the "Deep Sea Spa" kiosk she may be able to talk with
the Israeli sales person ( about the Lord).
Gene and Jen Arnold write: "Thank you for all your love, support
and prayers as you've stood with us faithfully over this past year.
Thanks for being a blessing in our lives. We just received your
Christmas gift today. Thanks so much for going over and above! "
Jim and Kay Baker write: "Thank you so much for remembering
us and our ministry children with Christmas gifts of money. You
folks are so faithful to us all year 10ng.....Thank you for the great
knitted hats for our children. We also shared some with the children
on the Navajo Nation. They were joyfully received." ( These
were made and donated by the Ladies Bible Study Group.)
Randy and Wilma Charles write: "We receive your generous
Christmas gift as a special blessing. Thank you so very much! We
appreciate your thoughtfulness in remembering us in this way."
Glenn and Beverely Morrison write: "Just a quick note to express
our gratitude for your thoughtful gift in honor of our beloved Lord
Jesus Christ at the time when we celebrate His birth.
GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, FOR HE IS GOOD;
HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER Psalm 106:1
ALL OF OUR MISSIONARIES: As we celebrate the birth of our
Lord Jesus may we each remember to pray for our missionaries,
many far from home and family, that they would have a warm and
Blessed Christmas.
Vince & Gail Trujillo (Mexican Medical Mission) recently wrote
and thanked us once again for all of the lovely winter hats which
the Trinity Bible Church Ladies are making for the Mexican folks.
Those folks really do love the hats. The Mission's purpose is to
meet both the physical and spiritual needs of the people in Mexico.
Pray that the needed supplies will continue to be supplied so that
Mexican folks will be cared for and hear about the love that Jesus
has for each of them.
Southwest CBA - Serving here in the desert southwest is exciting
to have some new young pastors taking up the reins in a hand full
of churches; there are some ministries that have been stagnated or
declining for years now fulfilling their Gospel mandate; some of the
smaller congregations are increasingly excited as they see how the
Lord can truly use them and the growth that comes from being
open to the Lord.
Ben & Aleyamma Joseph (Campus Ambassadors) wrote that
they are praising the Lord that the blood clot in Ben's left brain has
totally dissolved. When he returned to the doctor recently, after a
CT scan, his neurosurgeon was surprised to find the clot totally
dissolved. They are so thankful to the Lord, no more medications
or doctors' visits.
Jim and Kay Baker (Navajo Ministries) wrote that they are praying
for houseparents for their children extended care homes. They
ask that we pray for just the "right" people to come with servant
hearts and fill these two positions. The two Navajo assistant ladies
have moved into the homes to care for the children until new couples
are found. These two ladies have worked with the Bakers for
quite some time and the children love them, so they expect the
transition to be rather smooth for the children and the ladies.
Michelle Beckman (STUDENT VENTURE) wrote recently that her
doctor was encouraged and said that her overall blood work looked
great, especially in the light of two surgeries and infection. The
results of the liver test and CEA test should be back very soon.
These two tests will let them know if there is cancer activity in the
cells. Michelle asks that we pray that she will keep her eyes focused
on the Lord during these days. She thanks us for praying
for her.
UPDATES
CHRISTIANS IN INDIA BEATEN AND MOCKED
Islamists in Nutangram, Murshidabad district forced their way into the home of Gaffar Shaike on March 30, 2012, at around 2 p.m., as 11 Christians from Believer's Church were gathered for lunch and worship.
The seven extremists, led by Mohammed Aanu Shaike stormed into the home of Gaffar Shaike and ordered the Christians to stop their meeting, according to Pastor Bashir Pal, founder of the Believer's Church.
Gaffar Shaike said that the extremists called them pagans as they kicked, slapped, and pushed the Christians; they also reprimanded him and his wife for dismissing several warnings from them to stop leading prayer meetings in their home. A year ago, the extremists had burned Shaike's crops because of his faith in Jesus Christ.
The extremists mocked and verbally abused the Christians while a mob of about 100 islamists gathered and charged into the house, shouting anti-Christian slogans and threatening to murder them as they pushed, kicked and slapped them. A woman was called in from the front porch to beat a Christian woman named Selina Bibi, the wife of Almazan Bibi, kicking her in the head and stomach, and leaving deep cuts on her hand. Selina was beaten last year for her faith in Christ, as the Muslims assumed that she would have some sort of mark on her body indicating her faith They stripped her naked to search for one, and beat her in spite of finding no mark.
"Even though the radicals have beaten me many times and want to kill me, I will not leave Jesus," she said. "I will worship Him as long as I live on this earth."
May each and every one of us at Trinity Bible Church develop such a strong faith as this. Remember to pray for the members of Believer's Church, that their courage remains strong and their faith and hope deepens through faith in Jesus Christ.

ESCAPING THE TORTURE OF THE GRAVE
The Muslim faith, as many of us realize, is far different from Christianity. Some like to think there is no difference between Allah and the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. No difference? Let's take just a peek into how Allah was presented to a little boy in the Koran.
As Umar bin Shuaib relates to us, both his grandfather and father, Ahmed and Abu Dawud, said, "Order your children to pray when they are seven years old, and beat them if they do not by the time they are ten years old."
Umar prayed the mandatory prayer and followed the Sunna. He also prayed what is called the "night vigil prayer" in an attempt to persevere; however, he was sure that he was bound for hell since he was certain that he was one of the "Fire People" of which his Allah speaks. There was no way he could escape the torture of the grave.
With these deep-rooted fears, the Lord one day tapped Umar on the shoulder. He led him to the internet and a page on YouTube. There he found a Muslim with an entirely different message! He spoke of the love, forgiveness, grace and peace of God. Umar had just been introduced the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob! Shortly thereafter, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. That barrier of fear was broken! His chains fell off and he was free! Free, free indeed! Jesus Christ, the true Savior, saw Umar in his weakness and led him onto His path of holiness, righteousness, purity, and love. Umar is now whiter than snow thanks to Jesus and his unsurpassed love for Umar, for you, and for me.
The words of that famous hymn "Freely, Freely" come to mind. We are so fortunate, as a people, to know not only freedom in Christ, but freedom in our daily lives as well. May these words never be lost from our minds and hearts:
"God forgave my sin in Jesus' name; I've been born again in Jesus' name:
And in Jesus' name I come to you To share His love as He told me to.
Chorus
He said, "Freely, freely you have received; freely, freely give.
Go in My name and because you believe, others will know that I live."
All pow'r is giv'n in Jesus' name, In earth and heav'n in Jesus'name;
And in Jesus' name I come to you To share his pow'r as He told me to
Chorus
That Muslim on YouTube was doing as God commanded. He was freely sharing the love of Christ with who knows how many people? Through him, Christ was reaping a harvest. Are you sharing? Is He reaping through you?
Hymn based on "Freely you have received, freely give." Matthew 10:8

Believer Beaten By His Brother
(The Persecuted Church)
It's hard to believe, isn't it? But, on December 27, 2011, one of Gospel for Asia's church members was badly beaten by his brother who does not know the Lord. The man's name is Heman. In 2007 he and his wife and mother all found Jesus Christ, despite all the difficulties people encounter in Asia when deciding to accept Jesus as Savior and Lord.. Danvar, Heman's brother, still practices his family's traditional religion. He has tried over and over again to convince Heman to return to Buddhism, but Heman has refused.
Early in December, 2011, Danvar drank too much alcohol and began beating Heman injuring him badly. He even attacked his own mother. After the attack Danvar went to the homes of nearby believers, verbally attacking them and their pastor, as well.
A pamphlet later appeared charging that the pastor was forcing people to convert to Christianity. In Asia, this is a felony, and many pastors are in prison for this false charge.
After these incidents occurred a Gospel for Asia pastor learned that an anti-Christian group was using Danvar to set up these charges. The village is now set against the pastor and the believers in the area.
Gospel for Asia alerted members of their ministry as to what was happening, and people began to pray for the situation, and those prayers have been answered.
On January 6 Danvar filed a case against Gospel for Asia-supported Pastor, Arman Ravvi, and the 10 elders of the church Heman attends. The court was told of the above accusations and the following day Pastor Amaan and the elders went to the police about the situation. The police could not find any authentic charges and closed the case. Hallelujah! The pastor and members of his congregation are thankful to the Lord for answering the prayers of these true believers so quickly.
Please pray for this little church, that their ministry will not suffer from all these problems. Pray also for peace in their village, for the believers to be steadfast and faithful witnesses for the Lord, and that the unbelievers' souls in the village will be awakened to the love of our blessed Savior, Jesus Christ, and become believers.
TIMOTHY AND GLORIA HAGQUIST
Serving With World Venture in the Philippines
Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell together in unity! Ps. 133:1
Tim and Gloria write that this was the sense all the paraticipants had at Bukid sa Paglaum this past fall when 20 missionary and ministry groups serving in Mindanao gathered at Hope
Mountain.
The purpose was that God would be glorified through Christian organizations partnering together to gain ministry exposure, network for ministry opportunities and celebrate how God's gifts to each group benefits the Body of Christ through: Mission Mobilization, Discipleship Ministries, Cultural Arts & Products, Livelihood Projects, Vocational Training, Agricultural Products, Health Education, etc.
The 20 mission and ministry groups had booths where they presented their unique ministries. There were training seminars and demonstrations. Tribal Missions Foundation recruited and organized the mission lectures. Global Impact coordinated logistics and provided a zip-line and children's activities. A Salaam A Likum provided medical and prayer support.
This gathering was an idea that the Lord placed on Gloria's heart and they were really excited about how the Lord put all the details together.
Tim and Gloria recently spent a week in Manila for medical purposes. The small lump that was in Gloria's esophagus is gone and medication will take care of any problems. This was a concern as both Gloria's father and brother died of esophageal cancer. Tim had cataract surgery on both eyes and during the pre op physical, it was discovered that he has diabetes. Because of the early diagnosis, the diabetes is under control.
If you want to read more about their Hope Mountain Ministry and their praise and prayer concerns, please take one of their letters from the mission information rack in the narthex.
Trinity supports the Hagquists $330 monthly.
SANDY ECKELBERRY
WORLDVENTURE
Sandy Eckleberry serves in the Philippines.
A recent letter received from Sandy shared about the recent E. coli bacteria outbreak in water pipes at one of the coastal communities. The folks in this community are very poor and they are living on the shore by the ocean. Their houses are made of bamboo and raised up on stilts to help keep the house dry during high tide. It was discovered that there were leaks in the water line provided by the local government to the community and sadly they heard a few days ago that a fifth child had died.
Their mission team has been working in the community for three years and an issue that they have been addressing as part of the educational program is sanitation. However, change isn't easy and many folks still prefer to use the nearby tree grove rather than the newly installed toilet facilities. Please pray that the folks will be open to better ways of personal sanitation. Pray too for those dealing with the grief of the deaths in the community. Pray that the local government will take responsibility to fix the broken water pipes which provide the water to the community pump.
The ministry team asks that we pray that they will be able to share about the peace of Allah (God) through Isa (Jesus). The team is asking God to cause a movement of people to Himself in this community and that they will in tum become witnesses to their own communities.
Pray for other communities where the Filipino teams serve. There are four teams working in 5 communities providing pre-school, education for out of school youth, adult literacy and elementary High School equivalency, and livelihood training, such as sewing, mechanics, cell phone repair, production of coconut oil and oil products. In each training, the Word of God is shared through Bible stories. Pray for receptive hearts.
Trinity Bible Church supports Sandy Eckelberry $330.00 monthly.
Somalia's Cruel Streets
(The Persecuted Church)
Think for a moment....What would you do if your 17 year-old daughter were being held captive simply because she had decided to accept Jesus Christ as her personal savior? Would you encourage her? Would you tell her to hide her feelings about Christ? Would you ask her to disavow her faith in Christ, especially if you, yourself, were not a Christian? That's what Nurta's family did when they learned of her conversion. They asked her to recant.
Nurta endured months of torture from her family and friends, but finally escaped her family and fled to live with relatives in a different town. Unfortunately, it was in this town to which she fled that Nurta met her final fate and paid the highest price she could for her faith in Christ.
While on the street, Nurta was met by two men whom she did not recognize. They shot her at point blank range, hitting her in the chest and head. People from this town were reported to say that these gunmen were either her relatives, or acting on behalf of her family.
This activity took place in Somalia where persecution of Christians is common. Please pray that the senseless death of this child will give those Christians around her courage and strength to stand strong in their faith. Remember that very often it is women and children whose lives are at the greatest risk. Nurta's family and friends are greatly in need of prayer to come to Christ, as are the majority of the Somali people. Those that persecute are greatly in need of prayer as well. Our Lord Jesus Christ would forgive them just as readily as He forgave you and me.
We are already in the year 2012!
It seems like the years go by so rapidly, and we wonder if we are doing the things God has prepared for us to do. (Eph. 2:10) One thing we know that God wants us to do is pray for our missionaries. Your mission committee has put a book mark with the names of the missionaries we help support and the organizations we have an interest in in the bulletin. We would ask you to take this and pray daily for one or more on the missionaries named. Our missionaries often comment about the importance of prayer in their lives and ministries. If you need more information about our missionaries, we have a directory with information about them available for you. The mission information center in the narthex has their recent prayer letters also available for you to take and use. If you have any questions about either, ask one of the committee members.
We, on the mission committee, are so grateful for your interest in missions. You have been so generous in your giving for the needs of the missionaries. We were able to give each of our missionary units $100 as a Christmas gift to be used as they desire. What a blessing!! You also gave enough $20 gifts so that each of the 15 Navajo children named on the Christmas tree received a $20 gift. Thank you so much.
One of the events we are looking forward to this year is the Mission Conference which features missionaries supported by Trinity Bible Church. The dates for the conference are:
Mission Banquet on March 16 with Vince Truijillo speaking. Many of our missionaries will be attending as our guests.
On Sunday March 18, Ed and Sheryl Gudeman will be speaking at the Bible hour as well as the Sunday morning worship service. On that Sunday evening we will have Glenn Morrison and/or Randy Charles speak.
On Thursday, March 22, the new president and CEO of the Phoenix Rescue Mission, Jay A. Cory, will be our speaker at the luncheon. We are also interested in the new Women and Children facility they have recently opened. So plan to attend all the sessions to "catch up" with our special missionaries and their ministries.
JANIE SINKO
Serving with IN Network in SLOVAKIA
Greetings to all of us here at Trinity Bible Church were recently
received from Janie Sinko who serves the Lord in Slovakia
with IN Network. She communicated that she deeply
appreciates our interest and prayers for her and her family.
Janie and Pavel visited here at Trinity about two years ago.
Perhaps you might remember Janie as the missionary whom
we shared a special gift with for some much needed dental
work. As you may also remember, her husband Pavel Sinko
also ministers in Slovakia.
Janie would appreciate continued prayer for her family. She
asks that we would pray for her and Pavel to have wisdom as
they raise their children. The children are in the teenage
years. As we know those years can present their special issues
that parents and teens need to address and work
through.
Janie shared too that she is now caring for her mother. She
asks for strength and patience as she takes care of her. Caring
for her family, her mother and her ministry make Janie a
very busy lady. Let us uphold her each day in prayer.
In her ministry Janie meets with a group of women on a
regular basis. She shares that she would appreciate prayer
for wisdom and guidance in how to share the Gospel, deepen
their relationships and disciple each one of these beloved
women. She asks for prayer for sensibility toward these dear
women and for the leading of the Holy Spirit as she searches
for solutions to problems in their lives.
Trinity Bible Church supports Janie Sinko $200.00 per month.
JOYCE WILHELMSON
(New Tribes Mission - Retired)
Joyce wrote in a recent letter that it has been difficult to learn to live and
organize her life alone. As you may recall, Bob, her husband of 59 years
went into the presence of the Lord on August 13, 2011.
She continued: " On July 3rd, I had read Bob a devotional based on James
4:6, (and other verses), "but He gives more grace...". The paragraph
headings stuck in my mind: "God gives more grace than I can use," "God
gives more grace than I need." "God gives more grace than I expect."
and God gives more grace than I ask for." "His river of grace is for your
every need, every day, every trial, every sorrow, every problem, every
joy, and every service." These thoughts have been such a great encouragement
to me!!"
Joyce continues to go to the mall seeking Israeli folks to witness too. She
carries on the ministry she enjoyed with her beloved Bob giving out Hebrew/
English New Testaments to those who will take them.
Joyce enjoys getting out and walking, using her walker. She is thankful
for friends who are willing to take her to doctor appointments and shopping.
Her current prayer requests are that she will be found faithful in all that
she does. She also asks that she have a fruitful outreach to Israelis in the
mall this Christmas Season. Pray too that she will be able to find rides to
the mall since she doesn't drive anymore.
She sends her gratitude to us as we continue to pray and support her financially.
She signs her letter,
"Grafted in and Grateful," Joyce Wilhelmson
Trinity Bible Church supports Joyce Wilhelmson $150.00 monthly.
"GOSPEL 4 KIDS"
(Dave and Nicki Evans)
Dave and Nicki Evans have been in full-time ministry 13 years.
They began their ministry with Child Evangelism Fellowship in
1998, serving with CEF for almost four years. Then in April 2002
the Evans' began Gospel 4 Kids, desiring to reach as many children
as possible with the Gospel throughout Arizona. Since that
time, many thousands of children have been reached with the
Good News of Jesus Christ.
In a recent letter Dave shared that they knew of at least 650 children
who have been counseled about receiving the Lord Jesus
Christ as Savior over these years.
The ministry is shared through partnering with churches, Christian
Schools, Daycares and other children's ministries, organizations
and individuals. Many of these locations the Evans' have been
to several times. Now they are Asking Prayer for reaching out to
new locations in Arizona.
Dave and Nicki conduct VBS Programs, Gospel Parties, Gospel
Presentations and Open-Air Evangelism.
They praise the Lord that they were able to go to four new locations
this past summer.
Their family news is that daughter Faith is now in kindergarten.
She loves school. She has had some difficulty adjusting to being
separated from her folks. They are working through this situation,
please pray for wisdom for both the parents and Faith.
Dave and Nicki send their thanks for the prayers and support that
helped them have a great and safe summer of ministry.
Trinity Bible Church supports the Evans' $200.00 per month.
Follow Up Ministries, International
This is an excerpt from a letter written by one of those that has
been ministered to.
Ysmail writes from his Arizona prison cell:
"...I am incarcerated in a maximum security unit in Florence, Arizona.
In June of 2009 I was in Tucson and a couple of guys from
Follow Up Ministries visited here. I went to the two day sessions
(seminar) and I began a correspondence (Bible) course. I was
wondering if you still offer that same course. I have accepted
Jesus as my Savior and I'm beginning the journey of a young
Christian. Any lessons you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
If the materials cost. please let me know and I will see what I can
do."
YOU TOO CAN HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN SOMEONE'S LIFE.
PRAYER is often the key to spiritual victory for some struggling
soul for whom Christ died. Every believer can PRAY.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT makes it possible for our God Squad
staff and volunteers to go behind the walls of juvenile institutions,
jails and prisons with the life-changing message of Jesus
Christ, equipped to show them how to follow Christ.
BECOME INVOLVED in sharing your personal love and concern
for those who are isolated from their loved ones and
friends by bringing them the message of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Mexican Medical Ministries
Words from the President, Steve Crews
Thank you for your donation of 90 hats and baby quilt on 10/5/11. This
donation will benefit our clinics and mission sites throughout Mexico to
help the needy in those communities.
The purpose of Mexican Medical is to meet both the physical and
spiritual needs of the people in Mexico. We operate in cooperation with
several non-profit Civil Associations incorporated in Mexico. As a charitable
organization, we depend on the donation of funds, general supplies,
medical supplies and medical equipment from many concerned individuals,
hospital supplies warehouses, organizations and church in order to
effectively meet the medical and spiritual needs of the people.
As the weather begins to change and nights are getting cooler, here at
the Mexican Medical warehouse our thoughts turn to stocking caps and
cold medicine. Praise God over 3,000 handmade caps, crocheted and
knitted by numerous volunteers have come in throughout the year. An
equally large group people have contributed cold medicine. It may seem
odd that these things are needed in Mexico, but there are millions of
people living near the border where the weather does get cold and most
houses don't have the heating systems we enjoy. So we are ready to
distribute winter hats and cold medicine at our health fairs this November
and December.
One of my favorite jobs at the health fairs is preparing lunch for everyone.
I enjoy grilling hot dogs - not the healthiest food, I know, but very yummy,
as well as quick and inexpensive, and I also serve a mean vegetable
bean soup.
Thank you for your ongoing support. Please pray for us as we go out to
serve and to deliver the love of Jesus. We will encounter many who need
the hope of Jesus and the touch of healing.
Mexican Medical Ministries, Vince Trujillo
Vince went to San Vicente, where Mexican Medical missionaries Dave
& Lynne Johnson was having a medical team. He helped with the outreach
and lead in the devotions. Then it is south to San Quintin to meet
with Pastor Rafael and working with the Bible School. North a week later
to Ensenada and Gabriel House to meet with Ed & Jill Knox the newest
Mexican Medical missionaries as they get settled in Mexico working with
the children.

The Gideons Go To Malaysia
In early May, an international team of six Gideons from the U.S. and Australia
traveled to Malaysia to conduct a Scripture Blitz.
While a Scripture Blitz in any country can present its share of challenges,
the conditions are especially difficult in Malaysia. Because Malaysia is a
mostly Islamic country, there is strong tension for Christians there.
The official religion is Islam. The law there states that if you are born a
Muslim or become a Muslim, you are a Muslim for life. It is against the law
in Malaysia to do anything to entice a Muslim away from their faith.
There is a need, and strong desire on the part of the Gideons to avoid
drawing attention to their distribution activities in Malaysia. Confrontation
with Muslims, particularly school principals, is to be avoided as well as
situations which would involve the police and the media. Such attention
could spoil opportunities to share God's Word with non-Muslims in Malaysia.
GOING TO THE SCHOOLS
Because of the various political and religious issues, the Gideons selected
schools believed to have a higher percentage of non-Muslims. To prepare
for school distribution, the team would visit the school beforehand and
check the gates from which students would exit.
Five minutes prior to the students being dismissed the Gideons would set
up at each gate using supermarket bags to carry Scripture in order to
avoid drawing attention to themselves. They distributed the Scriptures to
any non-Muslims who wanted them. As soon as distribution was complete,
the Gideons would leave the area.
The Scripture was distributed at 61 schools and colleges,10 convalescent
homes, 98 hospitals and medical clinics, 10 law firms and 21 hotels.
PRAYER NEEDS
Safety and strength for Christian brothers and sisters in the face of Christian
persecution. Strong Christian leaders, who are grounded in Biblical
truth.
Taken from the Gideons International Update.

COMPASSION
Rescuing children from poverty in Jesus' name
This is a letter from the pastor of a church that
partners with the Child Survival Program that we help to support.
Greetings from Pastor Freddy Loor Mendoza and the
Child Sponsorship Program and the Child Survival Program in the city of
Guayaquil in the Republic of Ecuador.
"I thank God and each one of you sponsors of the
Child Survival Program for the blessings that the program represents for
the life of our church, Iglesia Plenitud de Dios and also our community
that is located on the north side of Guayaqui.
Our church is developing a vision that is focused on
service God and the community. The Compassion program fit in perfectly
with our social responsibility to help adults, boys and girls with most
pressing financial and spiritual needs. We serve those closest to us in
a place called Mapasingue Este.
We have had the Child Survival Program for about two
years, and it has had a favorable impact for 48 mothers and 45 children
(0-3 yr) that are being sponsored. Many mothers and their children have
been helped in the areas of health, nutrition and biweekly workshops. We
have been able to save the lives of mothers and children.
In the spiritual area we have had important results;
12 of the mothers received Christ as the Savior, 6 have been baptized
and are members of the church.
I say goodbye thanking you with all my heart for the
effort you make to send financial resources to support this program.
Thank you for making it possible for us to manifest the love of God to
our neighbor and extend the work of the Lord throughout the earth."
May God continue blessing you greatly!
Sincerely,
Freddy Loor Mendoza, Pastor
PRAYER AND PRAISES
TIM &
GLORIA HAGGUIST/SANDY ECKELBERRY, World Venture, Philippines. We just
want you to know that we are safe, we continue in our ministry work as
before, but we have been asked to keep a lower profile and avoid areas
where problems could exist. Hope Mountain is located near a large Muslim
population.
At the present time, we support the following missionaries
and mission agencies, as they proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the
unsaved, and to those who have never heard the message of Salvation,
both at home and abroad.
